Prof Christian Jackisch is particularly interested in:

Education

Prof Jackisch received his National Board Certification for Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Münster, Germany. He then held a postdoctoral position at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, USA. Following this training, he worked as a senior resident and attending gynecologist at the University of Münster. He subsequently moved to the Department of Gynecology and Oncology at the University of Marburg where he was Deputy Director.

 

Other activities

He is the member of numerous national and international oncology societies including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, as well as a member of the German Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the German Association for Bone-Marrow and Stem-Cell Transplantation.


He also sits on numerous Protocol-Boards for Gynecologic Cancer of the German Association for Gynecologic Oncology (AGO), including breast and ovarian cancer, and is a member of the Executive Board and Steering Board of the HERA and ALTTO Trial.


Prof Jackisch has been co-investigator of more than 30 clinical trials in breast and ovarian cancer. He has published 119 original papers in national and international journals, 25 book chapters and given more than 500 presentations around the world.
