Dr Manuel Constenla

Current position

Dr Manuel Constenla is Chief of Medical Oncology Service, at the Hospital of Montecelo, Complejo Hospitalario de Pontevedra, Spain.  



He studied medicine at the University of Santiago de Compostela and completed his training in hematology and residency in oncology at the Hospital La Paz, Madrid. He also received a specialist degree in Medical Oncology and in Hematology and Hemotherapy from the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain.  


Other activities

He is an active member of several professional associations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), European Group for Bone Marrow Transplantation (EBMT). He is a board member of the Spanish Society for Medical Oncology (SEOM) and past President of the Medical Oncology Galician Society (SOG).  


Dr Constenla is on the editorial boards of several Spanish professional journals. As a clinical researcher, he published many articles in international and national journals.
